1. What types of projects do you take on?

We specialise in high-end home renovations, extensions and custom builds across the Illawarra and Southern Highlands, along with many other small carpentry works. If you are looking for exceptional quality and a tailored experience, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re flexible!
You’re welcome to bring your own plans, or we can connect you with our trusted network of engineers and interior designers.
Either way, we work closely with your design team to ensure your plans are buildable, budget-friendly, but most of all, beautiful.

We primarily work across the Illawarra and Southern Highlands regions however, if you are outside of this area, get in touch – we may still be able to help!

Timelines depend on the scope of your project. Generally, a standard bathroom renovation takes approximately 3 weeks, and a standard kitchen renovation takes approximately 4 weeks. During your initial consultation, we provide a clear estimate based on similar past projects – and once we are underway, you’ll receive a full project schedule with key milestones.

Absolutely! Communication is one of our top priorities. You’ll receive consistent updates and be kept in the loop every step of the way so you will always know what is happening on-site.

Yes, wherever possible we provide a fixed-price contract with clear inclusions and exclusions – no guesswork, no hidden surprises. For renovation work where unknowns may exist, we will flag potential variations upfront and guide you through every decision.

Yes! Oakmont Building Group is fully licensed and insured, with all work compliant to NSW Building Standards. We also provide Home Building Compensation Cover (HBCF) as required. You can check our builders licence is current here. click here

It depends on the scale of the renovation. In some cases, partial occupancy is possible – but for larger projects, we often recommend alternative accommodation to ensure your comfort and safety (and avoid delays). We’ll advise you early on what to expect.
